Texas Fact

The sky is bigger in texas. The funny thing about this statement, besides it being TRUE. Is that when we first moved to Texas I kept saying to Tim, "The sky is bigger here." Tim would argue me and say that the sky isn't really bigger and go on and on how it is the same size blah blah blah. We all know he is right. And he is. But it doesn't change the fact that it still LOOKS bigger. And the sunrises and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. Even with  the power lines in the view. And my friends the trees ARE shorter. It is so weird. They are shrubby here. And just when i think maybe I am just imagining this to be so, a walk through the park in NC confirms my observations. Heck, Sid the Science kid is probably going to do a show on it soon.
This shot was taken in our backyard this morning. It looked like the sky was on fire.

Mary Mac,

I love checking in on your blog and seeing your adorable kids! This picture I had to comment on - the sky really is bigger here! I keep a camera in my purse just for the sunset pictures on my way home from work. So I will totally back you up anytime you start doubting yourself - haha! Glad y'all are getting settled in Houston!
