Hold my hand

I love the way these boys hands feels in mine. And I must admit that my heart also skips a beat when i see them holding each others hands, or being kind to one another. This sounds so full of myself when I say it aloud but I always think the best gift we could ever give the children was each other. Truth be told they only get along 25 per cent of the time. Tis only natural. But God gave them to us, to each other to sanctify us all. Home is a safe place for them to learn  how to encourage each other and build each other up. To learn how to help and serve with a cheerful heart. To learn how to say sorry. To learn how to forgive- even mommies. To learn what is appropiate and what is (ahem, playing with food, burping etc...)
Lord, give me wisdom to parent my children with the same love, kindness, mercy, patience and gentleness you show me. You make beautiful things out of dust. Make us a beautiful family. May we be like a city on a hill- shining in the light of your glory. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen
