Adam was pretending to eat Ryan in this picture. There are times when Ryan doesn't want bro touching him. This might be one of them...
We spent most of our morning at home. Especially now that Ryan takes AWESOME morning naps. I made lots of play dough this morning. Adam played with it for three hours. He was so happy. His face probably hurts from smiling so much. One of my new favorite things with Adam is laying down with him for 15 minutes during naptime. He has to sleep in my bed because if I put him and Ry-guy in the same room they play the whole time. So I lay down for a little bit (katie welty's idea) and he falls asleep. He is so sweet. He thrives with routine. he likes the fan on, paci in, door shut, lights off, the same side oft he bed, no extra pillows ON the bed...
Tim had a big presentation today in his Paul and Poverty Class. He has to wait until everyone has presented their topic before he gets feedback to write the actual paper. Pray for him as he prepares to write this paper. He presents his Old Testament Paper next week to class. He has a test tomorrow in Greek. And please pray for him as he prepares to present his paper at the SBL (society of biblical literature) the weekend before thanksgiving in New Orleans. He is always sending in more papers to be read with ideally to be published. This is always a prayer requests that they would be accepted. But mostly that his work would be used to speak truth about truth :)
We are having a tech guy come look at our phones and internet tomorrow. After his visit our lines should be up and running again. Send us an email if you need to get in touch with us. Actually, the tech guy isn't just a tech guy. He and his family are some of the first people we met here in Waco. LT Turner, real nice guy. We didn't think we would ever seem him again. I am so thankful he can come work WITH us with our connection problems. (Sometimes when things are going wrong, the people you need help from hate you because they only hear from you when you complain... who likes whiney people anyway?)
"Jane" update: I visited with her monday night for an hour. It was really neat. She grew up catholic and is church shopping right now. She said and I quote, "you can go to all the counselling and therapy you want but it is the Bible that really helps you." It was so amazing to sit there and just listen and basically hear a testimony without all the christian lingo. She said she worked at a place where she felt like she was selling her soul by working there. So she quit. and prayed, "God I know you have helped me in the past. I need help right now." A week later she started getting disability (war vet). A churched person would have used terms like convicted, faithful, repented... etc... It was eye opening and refreshing. Actually, from my experience of talking with believing catholicsthey all tend to be this way (unfamiliar with christian culture, living everyday loving the actual word of God).
