One of Adam's habits in pictures is to put his hands on his face. He isn't covering his face. It is some sort of comfort though. Maybe he is slightly shy/embarrassed. I think that if he still had a paci out he would just pop it in at this time.
I just went through and found pictures to show this to you. and I didn't pick the best ones. the first one adam is picking his nose. another habit he has... thank you tim.
