Just last week we decided to have a middle school Bible study- monday nights 7:30 for 5th-8th grade boys and girls in our complex. We being the Christian college guys who live next door and me. I made index cards that said there would be cookies, games, and Bible study. Junior (7th grade) knocked on our door and asked who would be providing the "refreshments" and asked if he could make the cookies.
Tonight eight kids (5 boys and 3 girls) came over. we had "Junior's made- from -scratch-knock-your-mama-out-because-they-are-THAT-good-chocolate chip cookies" and sodas from the HEB grocery store. We played games and talked about our 'Dad' in heaven. After the talk we split girls and guys. Girls went with me. Guys with Taylor and Gabe- the neighbors that are helping. It went so well. The kids asked if we could do it every week. They younger kids were so disappointed they didn't have something for them. Two of them were literally waiting outside my door when it was over! So now we are going to have to do an elementary Bible study for them!
I know people are praying for me and this Bible study is proof. Thank you so much. Please continue praying and pray for these children!
Adam heard us having fun and he called for me a few times. When I went in there to check on him he was standing up ready to get out and party. It literally hurt my heart to tell him he couldn't be part of it! He is my social baby. This is one dude that will never miss out on an event if he has anything to do with it.
