First of all you must know that I, Mary Mac, believe new years eve to be the worst holiday of the year. But I LOVE new beginnings. I love making resolutions. (It is growing on Tim over the years. I think that he is just so disciplined that the concept of resolutions at the beginning of a year is no challenge to him.)
This year my resolutions were deeper than my normal lose five pounds or go easy on the chocolate challenges. I have resolved to love my neighbors- literally. We have some neighbors with some hard lives and I haven't been not loving to them but I haven't really made an effort to love them either. I always said I could live in the inner city. This is not the inner city. But it is the closest to it I have ever lived. What will this love look like?
My second came to me when I heard a story about Adrien Rogers. He by the way passed away last year and they are still broadcasting his sermons on the radio daily. And he is still changing lives through the telling of the gospel... For awhile I lived too much for the big picture, neglecting doing my day to day responsibilites and all the other things that come with living too much for the big picture. I realized that I needed to live for each day. So I started living day to day but completely lost the big picture. So now my conviction is to live day to day within the big picture :) got it? good.
This year tim and I are also going to do the p90x workout. we ordered it and will be getting it in a few days. it entails workout videos with a pull up bar, a stretch band, and a chair. just don't get jealous of our awesome beach bods this summer. by the way Tim LOVES the pull up bar that uncle dave got him! it is perfect...
