Adam kept putting the blocks in our mouths. He is very silly.
Adam and Luke were playing with Bob and Larry.
This is miss sassy frass herself, Courtney our neighbor. Very cute.
Adam loves when mommy tickles his belly and back.
Hello? Nemo? Dori? three o clock? ok. bye bye nemo. Friday afternoon, Adam and I met our friends Katie and Luke at the movie theater for Adam's first theater experience. We went to see Kung Fu Panda and were blasted away by it's awesomeness. Adam was enamored with the whole experience. Of course there was a preview with guns and kissing that I was freaking out about but all Adam kept saying was, "Cars, AWESOME!" Haha. When the movie came on Adam sat there and shouted everything he saw, "turtle, monkey, bug, Pooh (the panda bear was named Po), tree." When the speakers beside us would make a noise Adam would jerk his head and look at it and then look at me and say, "COOL!" He and Luke karate kicked, jumped and chopped their way out of the theater. Needless to say Adam is inspired to be the next kung fu master now. hiiii-yah!
Friday night Luke came over so his parents could go to dinner. We were having a good time and around seven I sent them outside to eat cookies. The next thing I know the neighbors doors flew open and there were 12 children outside. I thought, Adam should go to bed but I will let him play. Well the playing never ended.
It started to get dark so the children came inside (and had to stay in the playroom). I just can't believe 9 and ten year olds like Adam's toys! We had a great time. Around 9:45 everyone was gone and Adam was way overstimulated. So I stayed in his room with him and tickled his back until 10:30 when he was fast asleep. The reason why I stayed so long was because if I quit tickling him he would kick me or grunt miserably. I totally understand not being able to shut down after all that excitement... Tim on the other hand was asleep at 8pm. haha.
Saturday we walked to the library and had to walk right out because Mister Mister wouldn't be quiet. Apparently he gets this from his daddy :)
We have found a church home, Alliance Bible Church. We are in the married couples sunday school class and doing Kay Arthurs "Marriage Without Regrets". Our sunday school teacher is a classics teacher at Baylor and the other leader is an engineer teacher at baylor (we don't let adam play with blocks around him). So we have a perfect combo for Tim and I. He gets the scholarly approach to the lessons and I get my people fix. There are about 100+ members. I am doing awanas and mops with them. Since there is a good number of Baylor Professors there, they are very understanding of the work he has to do and are very encouraging. Thank you for your prayers over us finding a church home!
